About the Event
Passover commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. It is a time to remember the Exodus story where Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, and the Angel of Death passed over the houses of the Israelites marked with lamb's blood on their doorposts. Unleavened Bread is a key element of the Passover observance. During Passover, leavened products are avoided to remember the haste with which the Israelites left Egypt.
